I would suggest you to perform a clean boot Clean boot uses minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps in eliminating software conflicts. My dad told me to go to the Control Panel and update my device drivers to install a new sound device, but my sound won’t show up with the game controllers. Restore your system back to factory specs.
Thanks for marking this as the answer. I looked all over the internet on forums for any solutions but none of them have worked or even help a little bit! Isn’t Quick Touch for the On screen display model all in one computer? A week later I saw a red X over my sound icon at the bottom and a message saying “the quicktouch on screen display has stopped working”.
Finally,,it has installed,,but the display seems very slow.

I finally got my sound back because of you! I bought my laptop from a UK website called ebuyer.
Using Glary Utilities I checked for the listed start up items. As I stated before, this started a few months from my one year warranty This site in other languages x. When the touch buttons start to mess up is when I’m using my browser in which there is heavy flash etc.
The recovery process locked up twice.

They told me to do a “hard reset”. Still worth all the hassle as I refuse to buy another HP product, if I can help it, seeing all the problems with no resolution. Try to reinstall the chipset drivers.
Ps, I saw a similar post to mine, but my pc does not log off or restart by itself it works perfectly fine, except for the audio part lol: If necessary take it somewhere where quixktouch can do this. Check out this link which talks about how to perform a clean boot Note: Message 1 of 1.
Contacted HP when I started to have problems with the sound. Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers attempt sccreen trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services.
